Uncle B's Bees Hive Tour Experience

Experience a day in the lie of a local beekeeper. Whether you’re looking to start beekeeping as a hobby or you simply want to satisfy an interest in preserving and protecting these little creatures, then this tour is for you.

PLEASE FILL OUT THE  RESERVATION REQUEST FORM ON THIS PAGE ALONG WITH PAYMENTS.

What can I expect?

In 1 hour, you’ll see what a honeybee experiences over the course of a lifetime, and what a beekeeper experiences over the course of a day. Enjoy the serenity and beauty of the surrounding landscape. During the apiary portion of the tour, you’ll put on a bee suit and assist the beekeeper in opening active hives and performing routine hive inspections.

What You'll Do:

We deliver an experience on our working bee farm and this is a true hands on experience to share with you the process of being a beekeeper and how we produce some of the best honey.

You will be suited up in a beekeeping outfit and then head out to the hives to learn and see what happens inside the hive.

We will share with you the workings of an operational productive hive, see the smoking process, open their home and check out the busy bees doing their thing. We will look out for the Queen Bee and the different stages of development.

You will get a great insight as to what they do with Honey, Pollen and Propolis within the hive, hold a frame of bees and touch the honeycomb. This is great photo opportunity!

Once we conclude the tour we will then taste some of the best honey around!

This is a fun, educational and unique experience where you will learn about these magnificent creatures!

This is a Family friendly experience and children are welcome as long as they are with a paying Adult.

Other things to note:
Please don’t wear perfume or strong deodorant as this can make bees a little upset.

This experience is not suitable for individuals who have high allergic reactions to bees, although the risk is very low.

A risk and liability waiver form will need to be signed on arrival.

Have a taste

After helping our beekeeper inspect the hives, we encourage you to dig in and taste the power of raw honey right off the frames. After the tour, you will be able to leave with a bottle of honey to take back to your friends and family.

Warning: If you or anyone in your family is allergic to bees, we ask them or you to please not book. Although bee suites are provided, there is always a chance for sting. We do not keep epipens on the premise. Before each tour, we ask that everyone fills out a liability form.
